The Karelian Bobtail
The Karelian Bobtail - an uncommon race of house pets with various small, curving tails that resemble a round and smooth pompom. The Karels are well suited for surviving in the icy Karelian forests and in a townhouse. Its place of provenance is regarded as the extension of Karelia and Ladoga.
It has been raised by a group of Russians on the base of short-tailed local kitten. A lot of folks think that the Karelian Bobtail are Norwegian Forest Fox. It was not until the early 90s of the last decade that the first formal descriptions of the race were made. Unfortunately it is not so numerous and not widespread in the whole wide globe, but nevertheless the Karelian Bobtail lovers and holders of these beautiful males.
Acknowledged only in WCF World Federation only. Full-bodied - powerful and accurate, muscle-like. Shorter, rectilinear shape of average height. They have proportionally stable and powerful limbs, the hindlegs slightly longer than the forelegs, giving the sensation that the back of the torso is slightly up. The eye is middle large, ovate, planted at an angle to the nostrils.
The less widespread are blue-eyed Bobtail. It' very seldom to find a Bobtail with different coloured eye. Cock - all Bobtails have brief cocks in the shape of pompons (from 3 to 13 cm), but unlike the others, it is very versatile, manoeuvrable and always cheerful.
They are much longer, so that their cocks are always likened to a mules. Cotton - long or long, thick, with enough cotton pad. It is glossy and close to the corpse in normal cattle.
A lot of females have a thick and long dress of coats in the "collar" area "panties" and noticeable clumps on the ear. They are very smart and energetic, good hunter. They are acclimatized to the hard winter with lots of snow and extremely low temperatures, because their race was created of course under extremely bad weathershow. To them it is remarkable that in the early season the Carelian bobtail kittens are never labelled with the area, which is a big plus in the kitty conten. The price is calculated individually for each kitten or one of the breeds, but is usually between 30,000 roubles per person.
