Trekking Tour Kalaw to Inle Lake - 3 Day
A 3-day trekking tour through Taungyoe, Pao and Danu to the picturesque west bank of Lake Inle. Throughout the hike you will have the chance to meet the locals, visit the village, the nuns and the children, make new acquaintances and enjoy the best of the Kalaw area.
Hike 6 hrs from Kalaw to Lutpyin, Shapin and Kyauk Su. Accommodation in Kyauk Su village. Hike 6-8 hrs to Pattu and the monasteries of Mt. Jekhaungto. Accommodation in Pattu Village. Hike 4-6 hrs to Nanyoke, Tonele and Nyaung Shwe. Hikes from Kalaw to Inle Lake have become a favourite. The trekking begins at the guesthouse. After two and a half hour of climbing through the pinewood you reach a Danu hamlet named LUTPYIN.
Drive half an hour to SHAPIN, another Danu-Dorf. Have a break and dinner in Shapin Town. In the afternoon we drive for two hrs along the mountain crest to LINPAN, a Pa-O town. The Pa-O area grows paddy, yoghurt, potatoes, chilli and bananas. KYAUKSU, another Pa-O town, could be seen from Linpan.
In Kyauksu we will have supper and spend the night. It'?s downhill for an hour. The scenery gets shallower. Half anhour tea rest and a twoh-long drive to the old wood convent KlosterYEKHAUNGTO, for a meal. In the afternoon we will cross a beautiful pedestrian walkway to PATTU, a Taungyo town.
Most of the men in this town know how to make racks not only for use but also for sale on the local markets. Another interesting wood abbey is in Pattu, in the middle of the town. Evening meal and accommodation in the town of Pattu after the visit to the town.
Fewer uphill and more descent on the last part. Hiking uphill for about an hour and a half after having eaten your breakfasts to the hamlet of NANYOKE. Then for three hrs to TONELE, an Inntha town on the west bank of Inle Lake. We will have our lunches in a shelter in the wood of bamboos near Tonele and then take a stroll to the footbridge to take a trip by ferry to the motel.
Minor charges for the transport of your additional baggage from Kalaw to Inle. A 25km/45min ride from Kalaw is the ideal natural landscape. Walk along wooded paths with indigenous villagers through wooded areas of tree-lined woodland to the luxuriantly wooded valleys where you will find our Farm. Head off on a 3-day trekking experience to Lashio, in northeastern Shan State, a truly remote traveler' s haven where breathtaking scenery, different ethnical minority groups and lots of adventures are waiting for fearless people.
