Krishna Vamsi's 2002 India based movie The Powers features Karisma Kapoor, Nana Patekar and Sanjay Kapoor in lead parts, Shah Rukh Khan, Deepti Naval, Ritu Shivpuri and Prakash Raj in support parts and Aishwarya Rai in an episode number. One of Karisma Kapoor's best achievements, both her and Nana Patekar's play was celebrated by supporters and reviewers and received multiple nominees at a number of awards  Nevertheless, it was not as good as anticipated in commercial terms.
His wife Shekhar (Sanjay Kapoor) and Nandini (Karisma Kapoor) are an Indian pair who live in Canada with their young col. Raja. As Shekhar listens to reports of India's violent events, the familiy travels to his traditional home in a country city in Rajasthan, the north-India state. Shekhar' s wife is profoundly pathriarchal and involved in feuudal guerilla warfare, led by Shekhar' s dad Narasimha (Nana Patekar).
But Shekhar tries to put an end to these feud, but is assaulted and murdered by a rivalling group. Nandini, who has been made a sudden dowager, chooses to go away from India with her boy, but Narasimha does not allow it and practically locks her up. Desperately fleeing, her only confederates are Shekhar's mom and sisters.
Nandini, sought by Narasimha, looks for help from the tramp Jai Singh (Shahrukh Khan), who is helping her and her boy after hesitations to take a procession to Jaipur. Narasimha's men and Jai successfully defends Nandini and Raja, but he deaths. Shekhar' s mom asks Narasimha to let Nandini and her boy go, but he does not give in.
Narasimha is overcome at the Narasimha airfield after interaction with his grandchild, allowing Nandini and Raja to return to Canada in peace. Shekhar Sanjay Kapoor, Nandini's spouse, died later. Prague Deva in the song'Dumroo Baja Re' IndiaNett Gross:
