Whole Iguala, Iguala de la Independencia, city, north-central guerrero estado (state), south-central Mexico. bw headline" id="mw-headline" id="GeographieGeographie[edit]>> Iguala, formally known as Iguala de la Independencia, is a historical town 102 km from the main town Chilpancingo in the state of Guerrero in southwest Mexico. After Acapulco and Chilpancingo, the town is the third biggest municipality in Guerrero. So Iguala is described as the birth place of the flag of Mexico.

1 ] It is encircled by Tamarindens, for whom Iguala is known as "la Ciudad Tamarindera" (the Tamarindo city). Iguala Flag Fair takes place every year at the end of February. This is one of the most important festivals of the year for the inhabitants of Iguala. 1 ] Iguala's craftsmen make jewellery in the area.
