What is the formation of rubies?

A ruby is only formed when very specific minerals are combined with each other, the most necessary of which is corundum. Aluminium oxide is formed when aluminium oxide is subjected to a process known as isomorph, in which some of the aluminium ions are replaced by chromium. The red colored forms of the mineral corundum are called rubies.

It was the first rock on the planet and the Mogok was the only one. The rubies consist of the minerals alumina. Rubies are formed when there is a small contamination of chrome oxides in the alumina (an alumina in which some of the alumina ion is replaced by chromium).

Chrome and a further metallic component of rubies, chrome and vadium, ensure the flaming reddish colour of therystal. It is a diamond when the gem formed in the aluminium oxide is not a diamond, although the name is usually associated only with azure. Crucrystals are formed at high temperature between 620 and 670°C.

This results in an unnaturally glazed rock with bent slabs of sand. Rupees have small bubble gases instead of trapped in them. A ruby like this is often used in fashion jewellery. When using the plasticizer growing process, the chemical is dissolved in a melted mix known as a plasticizer. The crystals take up to six month to develop.

Growing levels are even, which makes the crystalline texture more like a peach. Frequently, fluorine wax rubies have inclusion that only experienced gemmologists can decode from these. Rubies can grow at a rate of $100-500 per karat. Since these rubies look so genuine and are much more accessible, many folks buy them.... but no gemologist would ever do that!
