The Governor's House Programme was established in 1996 to offer an appropriate and reasonably priced home to income-generating adults and family. Over 2,000 governor's residences have been divested to older people, people with a disability and income-qualified households in South Dakota. South Dakota people have a high-quality, inexpensive, low-maintenance and energy-efficient place to call home.
A governor's house allows the individual to be independent. The houses can be set up separately or in groups to create a communal area. The net cash value for family members and individual persons under 62 years of age is less than $90,000 and less than $70,000. The net value for family members and individual persons aged 62 and over must be less than USD 175,000 and less than USD 100,000 in cash.
This house must be used as the only home of the house buyer. It must be located within South Dakota and be the property of the person(s) who live in the house. This program brings prisoners to work, which gives them invaluable abilities. There are three options when buying your Governor's House - a two-bedroom layout, a slim batch layout and a three-bedroom layout.
