Both Yangon International Airport and Mandalay International Airport are the most important international gateway to Myanmar. Burma Airways International (8M), Thai Airways (TG), Malaysia Airlines (MH), Silk Air (MI), Air Asia (FD), Indian Airlines (IC), Bangkok Airways (PG), China Airlines (CI), China Southern (CZ), Air China (CA), Vietnam Airlines (-) fliegen regelmäßig nach Yangon.
The Air Bagan airline runs from Yangon - Chiang Mai - Yangon. The Yangon port is accessible to international cruise ships by appointment with Myanmar's authorised travel agencies. Burma is bordered by China, Laos and Thailand in the NE and EE, Bangladesh and India in theW.
There are currently BIPs that allow Chinese and Thai visitors to cross the borders through these BIPs and those from third countries with passports and visas.
Arrival to Thazi
Mandalay - Train leaves every day at about 5 pm, the trip lasts about 3h. The train leaves Shwenyaung in the mornings and the trip lasts about 11 hour; the Upper Class fare is K3,000. You can also take frequent train services from Kalaw (7 hours), Taungoo (6 hours) and Nay Pyi Taw (3 hours).
