Headquartered in Yangon, the Shwedagon is the oldest historic lagoon in Myanmar (Burma) and around the globe after more than 2500 years. The Phaung Daw Oo is one of the most famous Myanmar celebrations of pagodas. This is an 18-day celebration that starts from 14 to 3 nights after the full moon in Myanmar calendar Thadingyut (between October and November). The four Buddha pictures, which are accommodated in the regal boat, are solemnly brought to all towns around the Inlay-See.
