Clotting (also called coagulation) is the process by which the blood passes from a liquid into a gel and forms a blood clot. The coagulation is a dynamic process and the understanding of the blood coagulation system has evolved in recent years in anesthesia practice. They have several clotting factors in their blood. If you get a cut or other injury that causes bleeding, your clotting factors work together to form a blood clot. In physiology, coagulation is the process by which a blood clot is formed.
