Myanmar/Burma China Visa (Rangon) - Myanmar Forum

Hello everyone, I have searched a lot to find out if a Canadian can get a visa to China in Myanmar? This seems to be the same as any other China Embassy (apparently at Pyidaungsu Yeiktha Road 1), but it would really help me to make it clear that this is possible and can be done within a period of one weeks.

The route means that I would have to make at least one additional trip to reach a China embassy before arriving in Yangon. Hopefully 2 week after my arriving in Yangon I will drive to Kunming (Yunnan). Thanks in Advance, do yourself a favour and avoid a great deal of hassle - get both visa in advanced - you need your pass in Burma when you buy train - airfares and hotel and it is not always a copy of your pass is enough legal.

I am currently in Phuket and I am only one full working days before leaving for Myanmar in Bangkok, and I need the Myanmar travel permit that date. I' ve only recently been asked by a colleague to Kunming, but this is only possible if I get my visas in Myanmar without purchasing another one.

As I understand it, can the China Visas usually be obtained within 1-2 working day if you are paying the prioritization fee? I really hope that someone can verify that I can get a Rangon visas within a proper waiting period! Thanks a lot, ask the TT Forums, they could be better to help you solve your question or call /fax the China Embassy .

Hello Steve, TT means Travel and Touring Forums, and yes, it is better to get both Myanmar and China visas before you leave. Great, thanks for the Asia Central Link, I'll call and acknowledge it during office hour in the morning. It' saving me a trip to Yangon, so I choose to do it this way!

But I came 98% sure off that Canadians can get a VISA there under the same proceedings as any other Canadian embassy (4 working day normally for $40, accelerated for an additional $25 as I understand it).

Anyone who can verify or advise this would be very welcome, but I am quite sure it will be all right now.
