Karlovy Vary Caves

The Carlsbad Caverns National Park is an American national park in the Guadalupe Mountains in southeast New Mexico. chip="mw-headline" id="GĂ©ologie[edit]>> The Carlsbad Caverns is a US nature reserve in the Guadalupe Mountains in southeast New Mexico. Carlsbad Cavern is the main tourist attractions of the area. You can walk independently through the grotto's open-air entry or take the lift from the Cavern.

Approximately 29 km south-west of Carlsbad, New Mexico, on US Highway 62/180. The Carlsbad Caverns National Parks takes part in the Junior Ranger Program. 3 ] The National Register of Historical Places has two entries: Caverns Historic District und der Rattlesnake Springs Historic District.

Approximately two third of the reserve are designated as a wildlife area and contribute to the fact that the living space will not be changed in the area. The Carlsbad Cavern comprises a large lime stone basin, just called Big Room, which at its highest point is almost 1,220 metres long, 191 metres broad and 78 metres high.

1898 a teenage boy by the name of Jim White discovered the caves with a self-made steel cable conductor. Many of the rooms he mentioned include the Big Room, New Mexico Room, Kings Palace, Queens Chamber, Papoose Room and Green Lake Room. It also mentioned many of the more famous caves' formation, such as the totem pole, the witch's finger, the huge dome, the bottomless pit, the fairyland, the iceberg cliffs, the sun temple and the rocks of the ages.

Karlovy Vary, which gives its name to the cave and the NP, is again called after the former Carlsbad, which is now known under the name Karlovy Vary, which means "Carlsbad". "a cave of limestones, known as the Karlovy Vary Cave, of exceptional proportion and of exceptional beauties and diversity of nature decorations;..... beyond the large rooms that have been studied, there are other huge rooms of unfamiliar nature and dimension;..... the various rooms contain such an exceptional number of galactites, coralagmites and other forms, sizes, beauty of shape and diversity, that they make a cave the same, if not even more sophisticated, both in science and research.

Situated in the roof above the lobby, this small room was first tied to a pile of ballons with a cable and swum into the aisle. Bats' den A large, undecorated rock path that connects to the central door. Most of the bats live in this part of the cavern, which was quarried for bats at the beginning of the twentieth centenary.

The Bell Cord Room is the name of a long, small corduroy that comes through a small opening in the bell tower ropes. The room is at the end of the left tunnel. The Bifrost Room was found in 1982 and is situated in the sky above the Wolkensee.

Large Hall or The Hall of Giants The biggest room of the Karlovy Vary Caves with a surface area of 33,210 m2. The topmost of the "cenic Rooms " is called after a dark, manakite coloured swimming Pool in the room area. During the early 1960', when the army tested the viability of the Carlsbad Cavern as an escape facility, the Green Lake was used to search for waves created by a nuke test many of afar.

Guadalupa Room 1966 found by a parkranger, this is the second biggest room in the Carlsbad Caverns. A 30-foot room above the spirit world. Name after its detection on October 31, 2013. Royal Palace The first of four rooms in a grand piano, known as "scenic rooms", is called after a large castle-like arrangement in the middle of the room.

Wolkensee The deepest known point in the caves. It' in a side corridor of the left tunnel. Its name comes from its large sea, which contains spherical, cloudy cliffs, which form under the sea when the sea surface was much higher. Mabel' s Room A medium-size room behind Talcum Passages in Lower Cane.

A large, inclined room in front of the Queen's chamber, called after an inexplicable sound that can only be heared here. There is a small through hole at the other end connecting it to the lower cave. The New Mexico Room is situated next to the Green Lake Room and can be reached via a somewhat narrower hallway.

A fissure section eastward of the Whitegiant formations and parallel to the bat caves. Papooze Room Situated between the Royal Palace and the Queen's Chamber. Queen's Chamber Widely is considered the most attractive and picturesque area of the caves. Ghost world In the roof of the Great Room at its highest point (an area known as the Cross Point), this area is full of whitish stable agmites similar to the room's explorers.

Talc-passage A room in the lower cavity in which the ground is covered with plaster-powder. Rookery One of the bigger rooms in the Lower Avenue. There are a large number of cavern beads. In the large room at the top of the left tunnel.

There is a coffee shop dating from the 1950', where the lifts lead from the Visitors' Centre into the caves. The Carlsbad Caverns had an approximately 410,000 visitors per year on board between 2007 and 2016. On public days such as Martin Luther King, Jr. Weekends, National Park Week and Veterans Day, free entry is often concession.

15 ] Campsite is allowed in the hinterland of the reserve, but permission from the Visitors Centre is necessary. An additional event in the reserve is the sightseeing of the bats. In the early evenings, a programme is given in the amphitheatre near the front door before the take-off, which changes with the setting of the sun.

The airshow programmes are planned from the commemoration day week-end to mid-October. 16 ] The best observation usually takes place in July and August when the puppies of the present year enter the flights of the grown-ons. Mornings are also organized before sunrise to observe the returning of the mice.

There is a annual Fledermaus flying breakfasts where you can have your breakfasts in the garden before the birds come back. Then, they put a climb cable into place and the discoverers climbed up to what they called The Spirit World. 18 ] A similar, smaller room was found in the front hall and was called the Balloon Ballroom in honour of this technology.

It was called "Chocolate High" and was the biggest find in the cavern since the Guadalupe Room was discovered in 1966. There are over 119 caverns in the area.
