Best Burmese Restaurant - Review of Innlay Asia, Dubai, United Arab Emirates
So we ordered a chicken Sui Mai for appetizers, chili chicken and my favourite Indonesian Nasi Goreng for the main diet and expressly asked that there are NO shellfish because my woman is hypersensitive to it. Dinner quickly came and a few bite in the Chicken Sui May we noticed that something was wrong.
We buried ourselves into the power grid. When the chili chicken was just dull. But my Nasi Goreng was a catastrophe and a great disappointment. I' ve never abandoned a Nasi Goreng in half before.
Only one of two genuine Myanmar Dining Centres in Dubai - Review of Golden Myanmar, Dubai, United Arab Emirates
I first went to Innlay Asia in JLT to find Burmese Khow Suey and now I'm going to the second of only two places known to be serving Burmese or Myanmar cuisine in Dubai - the Golden Myanmar Restaurant, on the second level of al-Khail Mall in al-Quoz.
Okay, first things first - Golden Myanmar has actually relocated. You can thank me later, Yup (and they've been moving in with Flash (by Al-Khail Mall Standards) hotspot champion, Chang Cheng, on the same - so now you generally get two inns for one. Only my good fortune, Golden Myanmar does NOT service Khow Suey, but if you ask really, really nice, they tell me their cook will do it for you.
Rather, they are served a weakened, less aromatic variant, Ohn No Khauk Swe, which means verbatim "coconut noodles". It' mentioned as Myanmar Laksa in the menue. Filled with my laksa, I brought most of the pasta home. Look, the whole al-Khail Mall scenery isn't the most glamorous (or even hygienic), but hey, at some point you have to give up a little bit of convenience for things you like.
