Shitthaung, a possible touristic destination, in Mrauk U

In 1517 AD King Minbar rebuilt the sanctuary after reclaiming twelve Bengali towns in Arakan. In Arakan, the monarchs constructed many stupa of sandstone to show their rule and faith in Buddhism. Of them, King Minbar is one of the most mighty of the Mrauk-U mynasties.

Chitthaung is the name of the sanctuary because 80,000 Buddha pictures are exhibited in the passage. With many sandstone, the architecture is somewhat similar to the Borobudur in Indonesia, which is a part of the Heritage.

With regard to the Astrological, the foundations of the sanctuary were placed and appropriate architectonic drafts were selected. The Chitthaung Sanctuary was erected on Phoekhaung Mountain with four planets. The Buddha picture was placed in the first plantar order in the scented room, which is the east part of the sanctuary in the middle of the great sanctuary.

Buddha's simple stone Buddha picture is the seated Buddha picture with the attitude of Bumiphattha Mudra (Victory Mudra) and it was constructed so that Buddha sat cross-legged when he won Mara's assault on him for the Bodhi pole and the jewel-clad crown. To build the Buddha picture to the east means that in the form of eight segments, creatures and non-lifes emerge and decay.

That is why the Buddha picture was oriented to theheast in the first plantar order, because the moon light makes man peace. The Brahma figurine was placed in the second order of the planets in the southeast edge, the so-called Tuesday vertex.

Tuesday corridor connects with the Leo. The third planetaric order, the statue of the Heavenly Kings who rides on an Ayeyarwon electant and is accompanied by his queens Thu Si Ta, Thu Nan Dar, Thu Pa Pa Bar and Thu Mar Lar, was constructed as the third planaric order in the northeast edge named Sunday corner.

This means that the heavenly kingdom is neglecting the evil people, but it saves and assists the good people with its miraculous strength and it is also a promoter of Buddhism. Four Lawkapala gods were placed in the 4th planet array as a 4th planet array in the northwest edge, the edge of Rahu.

The fifth planetaric order placed the statue of Min Bar, a Chitthaung Prophet, along with Phaw Saw on his right side and Pay Thi Dar on his lefthand side, in clothing like Brahma as the fifth planaric order in the southwestern edge, known as Saturday Corner.

These four different characters depict that the four different people lived in Buddha in the scented room. It is a large sanctuary with five square caves. While the first passage served as a place for the king's bodyguard, the royal worshipped the Buddha picture and entered the Sabbath Shrine.

During the second of these tunnels, the characters from 550 earlier Buddha tales, which were filled for the little perfect thing named Paris, were completely engraved into the mural. The most interesting place in the second one is the lobby next to the back of the large one. Buddha painting worn like the clothes of the Sovereign was poured at nine gems.

It was the wish of the emperor that the picture should be large. This Buddha picture was dedicated in the name of the chief of the monastic order and the older friars, and the king's ointment vows were made by placing the picture on the king's oracle. It was Buddha Bithayka Bitheik Mingalar.

Buddha painting poured in the shape of the Buddha is named Beikthayka Muni. He calls these Buddha pictures Mahakyein pictures. Sabbath Room for the Queen adjoins the south part of the Crowning Room. Thirty one recesses around the second one and each one has two Buddha pictures back to back.

Atonkat is the area where the third cavern channel and the 4th are located. Twenty-eight Buddha pictures are in the alcoves of the 4th channel. These Buddha pictures were constructed in the form of Thanbuday verses. This large Stupa, encircled by 26 small stories, was constructed on the rooftop.

Chitthaug is the synagogue of temples founded on Indian astrology and Gupta architecture.
