Burma's capital is 6 times the size of New York City and almost entirely deserted.
There' s one city in Burma almost nobody's ever known about. Funny thing is, it's their asset. Burma has been a leader of the country for 10 years. The Myanmar authorities said 10 years ago that the new capitol will move from Rongoon to Naypyidaw. No further explanations were given and it seems odd, since nobody seemed to be acquainted with Naypyidaw.
Burma is situated in South-East Asia and borders five states. After the move of the German government, international media have not been invited to Naypyidaw and it is mainly off-limits to Western citizens. It' s especially odd when you consider that Naypyidaw took 6 million to construct and is 6x bigger than New York City.
Though it was constructed for more than a million inhabitants, this metropolis is largely empty. There are few civilian and administrative laborers in the town on an ordinary workday. It was mainly constructed for administrative personnel, but Burma is a very impoverished nation and the main town is one of the few areas where there is work.
Situated in the midst of an uninhabited jungles, and although the restaurant and hotel are empty, there is Wi-Fi everywhere. There are 20 carriageways, but the avenues are almost empty. Burma has commissioned North Korean engineers to construct a secret tunnel system.
In spite of the large number of establishments, international helpers refused to remain in the spooky town and commuted from the old capitol Rongoon.
