If you have any special questions or would like to know in detail what steps are being taken to make sure that your visit will be trouble-free and uneventful, please do not hesitate to do so. Kindly notice that the prices of your tours do not contain a guarantee early booking discount. Please let us know if you want to make sure that your room is available for an early journey.
It is especially important on the first days of the trip and on arrival in the early mornings. It is possible to reserve and prepay an additional overnight stay at the beginning of the trip to ensure that your accomodation is available regardless of arrival/departure. Because of this and because travellers are likely to travel at different hours and often from different destinations, it does not include tours or other recreational/activity.
Please do not hesitate to get in touch with us if you arrive earlier or before the beginning of the trip and would like to arrange additional packages on a personal base. This is a trip where you will be staying with a host family with common amenities. Individual travelers are welcome and rooms are available according to the respective travel surcharge.
Catering is indicated in the route; breakfasts (B), lunches (L) and dinners (D). Beverages are not inclusive and are paid on site in bar. You must inform us at the moment of your reservation if you have any particular nutritional requests. You' ll need a little more pay for food and beverages not covered by the cost of your trip, as well as visits, memorabilia and things of your own, such as linen.
U.S. dollars - you need to make sure your memos are clear and crunchy - many places do not take memos with small errors. In Yangon or any other big town - your tour leader will be happy to help you. To arrange the transfers, please make sure that you provide us with your travel information as soon as it becomes available.
Indicate date, hour and number of your arrival/departure. Unless this information has been provided to us at least 2 months prior to your trip, you must go to the accommodation yourself on the first day of your trip. You are responsible for taking out appropriate cover and ensuring that you have reviewed and understand the full provisions of your cover to make sure that you are insured for all activity you wish to engage in during the trip, which includes any optionals.
You must be fully covered for your health costs and your return to your home state. If you are ill or injured, please make sure that your insurance coverage comprises the removal of an ambulance in case of an accident and that it will last the whole length of your vacation. When hiking at high altitudes, please note that there is no maximum coverage that can restrict or rule out coverage for your journey.
You are responsible for ensuring that you have a full identity card which will be in force for at least six month after the date of your comeback. It is highly recommended that your pass contains at least two empty pages, as this may be a request from your host missions.
Like most parts of Asia, we strongly advise you to consult your doctor's office or a specialized medical center for up-to-date information, counsel and the necessary inoculations. If you are visiting for less than a months, you are almost certainly recommended to immunize yourself against the following vaccinations:
All seasons have their own pros and cons. It can be quite warm (especially in the afternoons around 35°C), so you should book more sight-seeing in the morning and evening. The landscape is a little arid - an ideal place to explore the beach and the higher parts of Myanmar.
It is the most favourite tourist time because of the lower weather (evenings in the mountain can be cold - 10°C), while the probability of rains is lower (although there were more wet holidays in November 2013 than in July or August of this year). The day is about 30°C.
It is a good season to go to any place in the countryside, but it can be occupied in the main touristic places - if you have the possibility, we recommend you to stay away from the November and February seasons, when it can be very bustling everywhere. Temperature drops (up to 25-30°C) and the landscape is verdant.
This is a great time to explore the states of Bagan, Mandalay and Shan (Hsipaw, Kyaukme, Pyin Oo Lwin, Kalaw, Inle Lake), where it does not rain much (if it does, it is a quick late shower). It is also recommended to wear a helmet all or part of the time, to keep out the heat, together with at least one garment that is water -resistant for all evenings when the wind or soaking.
Although there is nothing to worry about, it is advisable to be properly trained and vaccinated. Sunscreen is a must - please be sure to take enough, as it may not be available on site. Shoes come first on this trip.
