The best part of Myanmar to visit

As in other Southeast Asian counties, the timings of your Myanmar trip are an important topic to prevent problems such as fighting extreme temperatures or deluge and inundation. Because of the temperate tropics in Myanmar, however, it is relatively simple to visit this year-round. However, for most travelers looking for the most enjoyable travelling arrangements - November to February is the best season to visit.

In this season the weather is more comfortable for sight-seeing, especially with the cool breezes that are noticable. From March to May, the intensive hot summers have come, which is particularly noticeable when you travel the plain around the antique town of Bagan and Mandalay.

It is important for travelers who want to prevent the worse of the rainy season that they miss the trip from June to September when the rain is in full force. Let's take a look at the best days to visit each region of Myanmar: The Mandalay is central and has a temperate temperature that remains quite warm even in the cooler seasons.

The reality is that this part of Myanmar only gets about 9 rains at the height of the wet season. A lot of travelers to Mandalay often prefer a journey from November to January to miss the most intensive sun. At this point the mean temp is around 27 C. However, from February to April the temp can be as high as 40 C or more, so a journey during the wet season can be the most advantage.

In February, March and April the temperatures are quite high and intolerable (36 degrees or more), especially for tourists who hike or cycle through the wide open plain to visit the many temple. Favourite period for planning your journey to Bagan is between May and January, when the wheather is more pleasant.

If you are traveling to this area during the warm season, it makes sense to visit the temples very early in the mornings or later in the afternoons. Precipitation from December to April is quite low, while the rainy season (May to October) has the short rains in the afternoons, which, however, still allow many totally arid rainy afternoons.

The Kalaw and Pindaya are great mountain trails and maintain colder climates than the lowlands near by. Winters are in the 7° C to 25 C ranges (November, December, January and February). In April, the highest point of the area' s climate is 29°C, while the rain sets in soon after in May.

Although the weather in the area is very good for hiking, the rainy season (from May to October) can make the area under your feet more challenging when it gets quite slippery and soppy. Lake is located in a high altitudinal area, which means that the maximum summers can be around 30 C, while in the colder seasons (December, January and February) the temperatures can drop to around 4-10 C at all.

Because of the higher elevation, the temperatures are more temperate and comfortable for sightseeing during the outing. Also in the winters the temperatures are still very reasonable and can be around 25 C. If you plan to visit the Inle Lake in the colder seasons, it is recommended to bring a lightweight coat or similar clothing if the temperatures drop at the end of the workday.

It is unlikely that the rainy season (May to October) will have too little effect on the trip, as the amount of precipitation is not particularly high. The Ngapali is a great place to get away from the beaches on Myanmar's families outings. The best time to visit one of the resort's hotels is between November and April, when the temperature is high with a top of 33 degrees, but the night gets a little warmer.

In January and February, for example, overnight temperatures can fall to 12°C. Many resort locations in the area also close for the low season (May to September) when the rainy season comes. It is Myanmar's main town and can be visited between November and April when there is little rain.

On the other hand, the mean weather in this part of the land is much more comfortable than in areas like Bagan and Mandalay, with a daily temperatures of 24 C. However, the air in Yangon is still quite humid (similar to Bagan), so the best time for a hike is in the mornings or after sundown.

Although November to February are the best few weeks for planning Myanmar tours, this season can be very bustling and finding your desired lodging can be bothersome. Another possibility is to make the trip in the off-season, i.e. the before or after the main tourist season.

In this season the wheather is still very favorable (although somewhat colder before the high season and warmer after the end of the high season) and the general pedestrian flow is minimal. In October, for example, a visit can provide a good equilibrium between the pleasant climate and the fewer masses of people you have to struggle with when you explore the area.

But if you plan to go to Myanmar outside the warmest of the year, it is convenient to wrap up the additional shifts (fleece, sweater, coat, etc.) to cope with the colder evening temperatures.
