The Htilominlo is one of the nearest large temples near Nyaung U. There is a hidden passageway that leads to the summit and gives an idea of the size of Bagan. Situated in Bagan, Myanmar is a buddhistic sanctuary constructed in 1105 A.D. during the rule (1084-1113) of King Kyanzittha of the pagan dynasty.
Ananda-Tempel ( "Ananda Temple") is a giant sanctuary with 4 huge statues of Buddha in 9.5 meters height. And if you want a refreshingly sparkling (or fresh) beverage, Ananda is the place to find cranky little cafés that will satisfy your appetite.
There is Ananda Oakkyaung Monastery in Old Bagan. The church was erected in 1137 AD. The name Ananda Okkyaung monastery means only brick monastery. Sulamani (occasionally Sulamuni) Guphaya, or Pahto, is one of Bagan's most important cultural sites. This pagoda is the most solid one in Bagan. The church was erected at the end of the twelfth c. by King Narathu (1167-1170).
If you are here in Bagan, keep an eye on these hidden passageways and you may be awarded with a reward that not many will see. The Nanda Restaurant is a shortcut to Nyaung U and offers good meals in pleasant environment.
