Aye Thar Yar Golf Resort Hotel in TaunggyiThe Aye Thar Yar Golf Resort Hotel in Taunggyi
OC Report by Aye Thar Yar Golf Resort Shan State, Taunggyi, Myanmar
Like the name says, this is a golf resort, and I'm sure it is valued by those who want to do nothing more than just playing the match! If not, then it's neither here nor there, because it's all alone - about half an hour's car ride from Taunggyi and Lake Inle.
You' d definitely need your own transportation to be here, but if you're looking for a peaceful, relaxed place away from all the activities, this could be the place!

Aye Thar Yar Golf Resort Shan State, Taunggyi - Good Choice Summary
While we were sightseeing at Inle lake we spent two night here. Rooms were quite impoverished (the bed was really nice) and had a mould stench. They were unable to give us any information when they requested information about trips and package holidays to the lakes. In our opinion, the transport had to be arranged via the hotel.
Transport we reserved was by car/taxi to the sea and the Aiport. They were both very expensive - 35,000 kyats for the round trips to the sea and 30,000 kyats back to the airfield (we were paying 25,000 on the way there and that was overpriced). Arriving at the pond we were taken to a travel agency (via our driver), who reserved us for another expensive route (30.000 kyat).
At the same we had another boyfriend at the lakeside who reserved a full days trip for 20.000 Euro. It' s in US Pounds, but if you are paying in Kyoto there is a pretty bad 900 kyats to the US-Pound. and you would be expecting an exchangerate that would compensate them for having to switch for you.
Understand that when they wanted to convert bucks to Kiev, they offered 800Kyats. While it was a little hard to find a place to live during our days at the lakeside, we wouldn't be here if we could help him.
