Italian AVSI | Cooperazione Italiana
The AVSI Foundation was established in Italy in 1972 and is active in 30 different areas (Africa, Latin America and the Caribbean, Eastern Europe, the Middle East and Asia): social education, town planning, healthcare, vocational education, farming, food safety, transport, energy, environmental care, environmental issues, relief, migration as well as respect for man... The AVSI Foundation works with more than 107 cooperative and developing ventures to achieve sustained economic expansion that meets people's actual needs.
In order to reach this objective, AVSI is particularly involved in the educational challenges that help the individual to become a leading figure in it. The AVSI has been operating in Myanmar since 2007 and works in education and agriculture in Shan State, Kayah, Drying Zones and Delta in cooperation with domestic and foreign partner companies.
It will contribute to improving the living conditions of the people of Pekhon (Taunggy District) and Pyawbwe (Dry Zone). Its primary aim is to reduce uncertainty about nutrition among the most fragile groups of the people. Results were as follows: agricultural output was boosted and beneficiary awareness expanded.
This is why AVSI has helped to provide dietetic, pedagogical and charitable assistance to those who have been chosen from the most disadvantaged groups.
