In Myanmar Kyat, up to 1,000,000,000 MMK of currency can be withdrawn every day by foreign cardholders. Please be aware that cardholders must notify the issuer to enable card use in Myanmar. Since March 2016 there are 600 KBZ ATMs throughout Myanmar that cover tourist hot spots such as Nay Pyi Taw, Yangon, Mandalay, Taunggyi, Pyin Oo Lwin, Kalaw, Bagan Nyaung Oo, Ngapali and so on.
You will find our cash machines at the airport, supermarket, hotel, mall and KBZ branches. The KBZ On The Move busses also contain cash machines and money change service and are used at big city outings.
Co-operational Bank issues JCB debit card in Myanmar
CoOperative Banc (CB Bank), a large merchant banking institution in the Republic of Myanmar (Myanmar), Myanmar Payment Union Public Co, Ltd (MPU) and JCB Int. JCB Co Ltd. today announces that CB will begin issuing its JCB Direct debit card in December 2016.
When used in conjunction with the MPU-JCB Co-Brand Card, the MPU and JCB brands are combined. This card has 3 different card models, Platinum card, Golden card, Default card. Cashbacks and rebates at select retailers are also available Platinum and Golden IB MPU-JCB Co-Brand Cards. Platinum Card Members are provided with JCB Platinum Card Platinum Premium and JCB Platinum Card Platinum Services such as JCB Platinum Airfield Loungeservice, JCB Platinum Concierge Desk and Special JCB Platinum Hotels.

Since the end of 2012, the MPE has been active as a domestic payments switch for issuing direct Debit-card. At the end of 2015, our member banking groups were issuing M. P.P.U. and in February 2016 the first co-brand direct debit and soon thereafter the co-brand as well. The MPE has the only officially recognised Myanmar Federal Reserve approved domestic payments system and currently 23 members of 28 municipal finance institutes are affiliated to MPE.
