Animata

animation

animations The Animata is an open sourced, real-time animated program developed to produce animated, wallpaper projection for live shows, theater, and dancing. What makes the program special is that the animated images - the motion of the dolls, the change of the backgrounds - are created in near-realtime, allowing constant interactions. It also allows you to add physics detectors, camera or other ambient variable to the animations of your character, resulting in a vehicle that responds to its surroundings. It is easy, for example, to make a visual doll tape that responds to living sound inputs, or to make a sequence of painted figures that is driven by the movements of people.

Unlike conventional 3-D animations, animating a character is easy and only a few moments. Starting from the statues that are used as skeletons of the dolls, we create a web of three corners, some of which we connect to the bones.

Bone motion is built on a physics template that allows you to move your character with ease.

Bone movements are modelled on a physics pattern that allows the figures to move slightly. It runs on a variety of operating platforms including Mac OS X, GNU Linux and Windows. It can be linked to widely used coding tools (e.g. Max/MSP, Pure Data, EyesWeb), which are used by multi-media designers and performers to take advantage of these tools for imaging, audio analytics and video capturing.

An animata is required: In order to create animata, type: In order to run the application, enter ./animata in the builddirectory. User should consider logging in to animata-users: The Animata-devel is aimed at those who want to contribute to the development:
