The Andong

There is no longer a coach terminal near the railway terminal and in fact it is perhaps 60 min on foot from its old site. Taxis or buses will take you to the town within 10mins.

You can reach Andong very well via the Intercity-Busnet. Coming from East Seoul Terminal in front of Kangbyeon Railway Terminal (metro line 2 line 2 line 2) The busses run every 10~15 min to Andong and take 2h40. Busses run every 40~60 min to Andong and it lasts 2h50.

Daejeon is located east of Daejeon, across the Korean railway from Andong. Purchase your tickets at the Intercity Bus counters (on the right opposite the counters or on the leftside when you enter). Busses run about every 1 hr and the entire journey lasts about 2 hr 10 min.

Legendary Andong face pieces are the town' s evident souvenir, although the mass-produced painted copies are available almost everywhere in Korea. Hahoe has a number of specialized stores at the entry to the Hahoe community, so if you are looking for a unique manufactured face shield repeater, try it there.

Some of Andong's specialties include the locals jujimdak (Andong type poultry and lyophane noodles), barbecued salt cod and helljesabap or fake grave eating.
