American Curl has its origins in California, America. In contrast to some other races, whose origins are not known, American Curl females (both long-haired and shorthaired cats) can be attributed to a certain cattery. First American Curl was exhibited in 1986 and met with great interest among feline lovers.
All American Curls were long-haired in the early phases of breeding, only later were short-haired American Curls born. It also found that the American Curl race was sound and without genetics deficiencies. American Curls not only look particularly special, but also have a great character.
