In that case it matters not what lens you use but the aperture you choose. The 70-300mm will be a bit overkill and you’d have to stand really far away to get that shot. So the 24-105mm would work fine in that situation. Just shoot at f/5.6 or f/8 to get more depth of field (more in focus). You might want a wider lens but the 24mm end of that one should suffice in that situation.
