I set Number of shots 0 in BLK menu. Is there any other way to disable it in Nikon? I use the aperture priority mode most of time.

@disqus_EjQIaighur:disqus hmmm are you 100% sure auto bracketing is not on? That sure sounds like bracketing is the issue. What shooting mode are you using?

That’s another common issue I have seen occur!”.
I am encountering exactly same errors – Even though I set exposure compensation only +0.3, all of sudden the last picture was taken with +3.0 or -3.0. I didn’t enable AEB (by Number of shots to 0 in BKT menu – I am using Nikon D750). Is there any other potential culprit for the problem?

@stefanostsiminis:disqus LOL I am NOT eating my hat! But I wear many hats: a Lightroom one, a Photoshop one, a Luminar Neo one, Fuji one, cat mom hat!

“It is very important that you understand this is not a one-shot setting and it goes back to zero. exposure compensation does NOT reset itself after you take an image.”

I’m forever taking a bunch of under-exposed shots then having to re-shoot because I left the exposure compensation at -1. A handy little tip for all those like me is to note that the exposure meter does not normally appear in the viewfinder in shutter or aperture priority modes – simply because there is normally no need to see it! If it is present, other than in manual mode, it is telling you that you have exposure compensation set. Take heed of it!

I shoot Nikon, so this may not apply to other brands.

I shoot photos for about fifty five years now, OMG, (not a professional), but every time I read your articles, i feel that I am wiser and more skillfull. You are a teacher for me, even if I am a lot older than you and I look at your site from the time you were signed as “Her View Photography”. So Thank you!

P.S. By the way, what kind of a hat do you wear?
